This is a huge patch, so the notes have been broken into sections based on themes. Merry (if not slightly late) Xmas.
This update takes the form of a list because I like lists. In it is every big new thing going into the next patch, followed by some paragraphs talking about what they are and how complete they are. The patch will be ready when all of these items are complete.
We originally promised a game that takes place in an infinite procedural world yet consists of lots of hand-mapped areas. Today I have successfully tested the system that will make that possible, read more to find out how it’s going to work.
In my last post I talked about our new GPU based 3d procedural planets, and those are still being tweaked and tuned and enhanced before they are ready to go live, but that isn’t the only massive overhaul we have planned in 0.3.2.00 patch. Lets talk about our new particle system.
