This thing is finally live
I have been a bit distracted lately, in the last 120 hours I have probably slept for 32 hours and I spent the rest of those trying to plan for the pending launch of this funding campaign. This is happening on the 16th, as in Thursday, so I have been pretty distracted doing my best to hammer out all of the details. Also if you have been on the forums lately, it seems that things have gotten a little more busy. I am having trouble keeping up with posts, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, however I have seen some strange activity with my akismet plugin which weeds out about 80% of the most common spam attacks. If your account gets banned or warned and you didn’t do anything spam-like, please email me: (firstname.lastname@example.org) because I need to know if the plugin is misbehaving. I want to make sure the forums are spam-free, but also I want to make sure they are not vindictive or evil, and they certainly shouldn’t have a mind of their own. Anyhow, keep an eye out for the kickstarter launching on this thursday, and I promise that once I finish this stupid video editing I will look into doing some more client bug fixing.

I spent most of my Xmas break doing bug fixes and publicity type stuff so I have been taking a pseudo-break now that things have quieted down a bit and I have enjoyed a day or two of goofing off. Crowd funding is still on hold while stuff gets worked out on the back end, so I have once again had to choose what to code next and I think it’s time for me to dive into the server code some more. On one hand server coding won’t give me anything cool to show off any time soon, but on the other hand there are lots of little client fixes and additions I could make forever without bringing the game any closer to being finished. For that reason I will try to do a few more minor bugfix patches and maybe 1 content patch, but my real efforts are going to be server programming for a while.
